London Fields Radio Live Sessions

Local and unsigned bands like Marthas & Arthurs, Daryl Kellie and Rescue Cat, treat café-goers to a dose of live music.

Broadcasts from London Fields Radio Live Sessions:

London Fields Radio Live Sessions: Emily Capell

London Fields Radio Live Sessions: Emily Capell by London Fields Radio on Mixcloud

In the third volume of the new show, London singer-songwriter warbles intelligent pop with a bad-ass edge. Inspired by popular culture, Emily has a twang of Jamie T and moments of Billy Brag. Her quirky songs leave you questioning the world around you…

Her E.P “Who killed Smiley Culture” is out on the 4th of January.

London Fields Radio Live Sessions with Jesse Audubey

Live sessions with unsigned acts in the local Hackney area. We don’t adhere to the norms of planet Earth, especially when it comes to talking with the talented people who lurk around the pubs of London singing their beautiful tunes. Catch some quirky live sessions here with Joanne who is taking over from the Dalston Howl.

In the second volume of the show, French singer-songwriter, Jesse Audubey and winner of LOCO film festival’s singing competition after the screening of “Harold and Maude” at the Genesis Cinema, talks about France and music. Singing about real-life experiences and what makes a good open mic night!

LOCO LONDON is London’s only comedy film festival. From Hollywood blockbusters to arthouse movies, and from premieres to classics, it is four days of the world’s best comedy films, lightening up London in the last week of January, the officially most miserable week of the year. Have a laugh with LOCO and check out their website and what they do: www.locofilmfestival.com. Also find out what’s on at the Genesis Cinema in the next few weeks: www.genesiscinema.co.uk

London Fields Radio Live Sessions with Joanne: Sweet Bread

In the first volume of the show, Geoff Glees of Sweet Bread chats nonsense and music. Singing about Gin or sipping it quietly from a hip flask? Tune in and find out!

Sweet Bread will be performing along side Crawling Boards at the Three Compasses in Dalston on August the 29th at 7:30. It’s free entry and is sure to be worth your precious time!

London Fields Live Sessions with Kirstenana

Amy Ashworth and Amanda Barokh from The Dalston Howl invited Kirstenana to Wilton Way Café for a Live Session.

Hackney resident Kirstenana has a voice that Amy accurately described as a ‘powerhouse’. Her songs featured recently in the film Come On Eileen. The film was shot, in part, at Field Day in East London.

She’s releasing her EP A Queen and A Bridge early next year.

London Fields Live Sessions with Jack Cheshire

Amanda Barokh from The Dalston Howl and Amy Ashworth welcomed Dalston based singer-songwriter Jack Cheshire to Wilton Way Café to perform a Live Session.Jack kept us captivated with his languid vocals and his lyrical prowess but the haunting menace of his Echo and The Bunnymen cover proved all too much for one little listener.

Jack is playing a couple of local gigs soon:

18th November – Servants Jazz Quarters, Dalston
6th December – Slaughtered Lamb, Clerkenwell

His current album is called Copenhagen.
