Boom Music Vol. 23

Colectivo Futuro was in the house for their last edition of Boom Music here at London Fields Radio before moving on to Music is my Sanctuary in October. For the occasion, Miguel and Oli went through each other’s collections to try and find nuggets hiding deep in their respective crates. Except another two hours of music for and from the soul, ancient to future; and keep an eye out on and for their upcoming partner show.

Boom Music Vol. 20 (Henry Gilles Guest)

Colectivo Futuro spent another lazy Sunday afternoon in the studio for another edition of Boom Music. This time with guest Henry Gilles, part of the Public Possession crew all the way from Munich, who was in town to play at the monthly Hashtag UNiTY party that weekend. As usual, expect a mix of styles and genres from hosts Miguel and Oliver and a wicked selection of weirdness from Henry.

Boom Music Vol. 19 (Lexus Blondin Guest)

Lexus Blondin from the Total Refreshment Centre joined Colectivo Futuro in the studio for a chat about the forthcoming Idris Muhammad tribute at St. James the Great in Clapton with Yussef Dayes & Kamaal Williams, as well as general musings about the late drummer. There’s also new music from Prins Thomas, Tenderlonious, and Carlos Niño; as well as old favourites by Joe Henderson, Eddie Jefferson, and A Tribe Called Quest.
