Who’s ready for a no. 2?
The second edition of my London Fields Radio show features a few gems I discovered at last week’s Independent Label Market : London (Spring 2017) – from face melting trippy tracks to hazy shoegaze-y stuff – but also interspersed with a few other things I’ve been digging lately!
I’ve even got a pic of me recording this show so you can see what it looked like from the outside – I’m kinda hidden away so we’ve put a bit of a clue as to where I am in the background. It’s kinda subtle so you might still need to squint a bit tho.

Yoru – Breathe
??? – Bridges
Opal Sunn – Pluto (Planet Sundae)
Junko Ohashi – Telephone Number
Jon Brooks – Pond

This month the show is dedicated to the London Jazz scene, and some of the most exciting artists making music in the UK capital today.
London – second most culturally diverse city in the world and with a legendary bass-heavy club culture – is producing Jazz musicians who are drawing influences from everywhere and filling classic London venues such as Village Underground, XOYO and Scala. From Afro-futurist flare to the darker edges of London’s club scene, we explore the shifting sound of London’s most exciting music scene.

It’s the first show 2017 and as we all combat the January blues, and with the infamous Blue Monday right around the corner, this show is dedicated to the stories, sounds and catharsis that only the Blues can offer.
From the banks of the Mississippi River to the deserts of the Sahara, we’re exploring the sounds and influence of Blues music wherever it appears from hard times in the sprawling urban city to the refugee camp.
